Luke’s Special Day

One Year ago, I had never met you…

I didn't know your name.

I didn't understand your personality.

One year ago, you came new into my life, and you changed me.

Now you understand me, and I understand you. I know your name, your face, your eyes, your heart!

You know my voice, my touch, and my weaknesses'. When I see you I smile, when I hear you I am happy!

I find comfort in your friendship and your reliance on me.

Your smile brings so much to our house, and our hearts!

We never knew what we were missing before you came, and now in just a short amount of time you have changed us so much, we would never be able to live without you! We love you Lukas!

Memorial Day Weekend/ My spring cleaning!

So I had plans to get everything done on Memorial day weekend, then Dan came home and said that we were going to Provo. I didn’t want to go. He was cool about it and said it would be fine if I didn’t go. So I stayed home to clean and he took the kids and I had two whole days by myself! I worked from noon on Sunday clear through the night and all day Monday until 9:30 p.m. when they all arrived home. I organized every closet, cleaned out every room, drawers, and cupboards. I mopped, swept, washed walls, did laundry, everything there was to do, I even cleared out enough junk that I probably might have enough to do another garage sale soon. I did pretty good at the last one. It felt so good to get everything done! The kids follow me around so much that I never can get anything done. One room gets dirty before I get the next one cleaned up! It sure is a never ending cycle! I felt so liberated to finally have everything in order at once! I felt just a teeny bit guilty for not missing them all more. It was nice to be alone for once! I played the music I wanted and even though I worked so hard my legs and back were killing me, I felt so good! I took these pictures for proof that I had got it done.
