So I had plans to get everything done on Memorial day weekend, then Dan came home and said that we were going to Provo. I didn’t want to go. He was cool about it and said it would be fine if I didn’t go. So I stayed home to clean and he took the kids and I had two whole days by myself! I worked from noon on Sunday clear through the night and all day Monday until 9:30 p.m. when they all arrived home. I organized every closet, cleaned out every room, drawers, and cupboards. I mopped,

My Baby is ONE!!! Happy Birthday Luke! 5/29/09
Last year I was overdue with baby Luke. Somewhat blissfully awaiting his arr
ival in hopes of a natural child birth as I went in for a check up and found that his heart beat was stressed and Dr. Gibby said I had to be started now. Our plans were foiled and I had a feeling that I should just let them do a c-section, but then I thought I was just being a boob so I shook my feeling away.
We started the labor, and it was progressing slowly, Luke's hearbeat was really stressed and I overheard Dr. Gibby talking about getting the anesthesiologist in there. I had a feeling again that I should have a c-section and shook it off as me
The chances of getting him out were so slim and although they let me wait a bit to see if he would move I think they knew that both of us were in danger. So then came the point where nothing was working and the dialation actually began to re-gress so we prepped for a c-section. I was afraid of that, if someone had told me how easy it was, MAN!
He is such a big kid too, he started to army crawl at 7 months and then up on his knees, and then he started to walk at 11 months!

(8months)

He runs and plays with the kids and babbles like he is talking to us. He stacks blocks and sings, he absolutely loves the piano. If he even sees it open he is a magnet to it! He rides his little scoot bike and eats at the table. He loves to read and chase the kids! Like I said he is so big! He is my angel! I am so glad we have him, he is such a completion to our little family!

Long story short I labored all day. It kind of slowed down and Dr. Gibby encouraged me to break the water. I gave in and let him, well Luke was in the wrong position and he got stuck with his head upside down. (2 months)

Luke was born just after midnight, his poor face looked like he had been in a boxing match because of being in the wrong position, each time the Dr. or nurse checked me, he was getting smacked in the face.
The swelling went down and we spent 3 and a half days in the hospital then when we were ready to check out, Luke had a fever. He had to stay another 24 hours. And I had to stay with him. I was so stir crazy!

He was immediately such a blessing to our family! What a beautiful spirit he is! Only a few days old and he was so alert and wide-eyed like all our kids were.
At one month he was smiling at us! At 4 months he sat up by himself.

He is so happy too! Only a few months old and he started to laugh. He would laugh randomly at nothing and at everything. He just is always happy!
He very seldom cries, he usually sleeps most of the night, and he loves to cuddle!
